Jannik Hansen scored the decisive goal with 2:08 remaining, Mikael Samuelsson had his first NHL hat trick, and the Vancouver Canucks rallied to beat the Colorado Avalanche 6-4 on Tuesday night. Hansen snapped the tie with an unusual goal that was confirmed by video replay. Aaron Rome took a shot from the point that bounced off the end boards.

Panthers hold Wild to 11 shots in shootout win (AP)

Cory Stillman scored the winning shootout goal and the Florida Panthers held the Minnesota Wild to a franchise-tying low 11 shots in a 3-2 win on Tuesday night. The Wild also tied a season low for shots by a home team in the NHL this season. Minnesota managed only 11 shots on Jan. 23, 2004, at Anaheim.

Deron Williams got the better of Derrick Rose, finishing with 28 points and a season-high 17 assists, while CJ Miles scored a season-best 26 points Tuesday night to lead the Utah Jazz to a 132-108 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Williams threw down a hard dunk on Rose during a 13-1 run late in the third quarter that broke a 77-all tie and sent Utah to its 22nd win in 27 games.

Reports: LB Witherspoon agrees to 3-year deal (AP)

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms on a three-year, $11 million deal with linebacker Will Witherspoon, according to reports. The team confirmed that the 29-year-old Witherspoon visited the team Tuesday. The Tennessean and The (Nashville) City Paper reported on their Web sites Tuesday night that they had reached the team's first deal of free agency.
